This site sets no cookies and runs no trackers. No third-party analytics, no pixels, no fingerprinting. That’s why there’s no cookie banner: there’s nothing to consent to.

What we count: our own server keeps an anonymous tally of page views, downloads and checkout opens. It records which pages, when, and which platform a visit came from. No IP address, no browser details, no cookies; a random token in your browser’s session storage threads one visit together and disappears when you close the tab. It identifies a visit, never a person.

When you buy: the checkout is handled by Paddle, our merchant of record, who process your payment details under their own privacy policy (opens in a new tab). We never see your card. We receive your email address, which we use to send your licence keyfile and answer re-send requests. Nothing else.

When you download the free version: nothing. No email, no registration, no phoning home. The plugin makes no network calls, with one exception: clicking “check for updates” fetches a public version number, and the request carries nothing. No licence, no identifier.

If you leave your email: we store it only after you click the confirmation link (that click is the consent record). It joins one personal mailing list: updates, freebies, writing, the occasional hello, all sent by a person you can reply to. The list lives with our email service, Resend, who store the address and send on our behalf. Every email has an unsubscribe that works, and unsubscribing deletes you from the list.

Your rights: email charlie [at] snails.fm and we’ll tell you what we hold (your purchase email, your licence record, and, if you joined the list, that address), correct it, or delete it. Licence records are kept for as long as the licence exists, so re-sends keep working; deleted on request. Data controller: 0907 STUDIO LTD, trading as snails.fm, England and Wales.
