Parameters

Objective mappings: what each control actually does, with a link to the page that explains why. Nothing here is a metaphor: where a knob maps to a number, the number is stated.

Parameter Range What it controls
Source scale / MIDI / chord Where targets come from: the key/scale grid, your held MIDI chord, or the split (lead follows the scale, harmony takes the notes you hold). → Deciding, The crowd
Key / Scale keys; scales incl. church modes The grid of allowed notes for Scale mode. → Deciding
Retune 0–1 Glide time = (1 − x) × 200 ms; at 1, the snap is instant. → Deciding
Amount 0–1 Blend between your sung pitch and the glided target; 0 = no correction. → Deciding
Formant 0–1 Formant scale = 0.5 + x, clamped 0.5–1.5; centre = resonances fully preserved. → Singing
Mix 0–1 Delay-aligned dry/wet blend, phase-coherent at any setting. → Time
Engine PSOLA / phase vocoder Which shifter renders the lead. At Range = Full both run warm; the switch is an instant A/B. → Singing
Tracker pYIN / YIN Which pitch detector runs; the other stays warm (~7 ms re-lock on switch). → Listening
Epochs ZFF / Peak Which glottal-pulse detector feeds PSOLA. → Singing
OLA WOLA / Pure Overlap-add normalisation mode, an audible A/B. → Singing
Harm 3rd / 5th / 7th on / off Diatonic harmony intervals above the lead (Scale source). → The crowd
Harm Level 0–1 Harmony bus gain; the doubles keep their own fixed gains. → The crowd
Spread 0–1 Stereo width of the harmony and doubler pan field. → The crowd
Lead root / nearest / near 8va Which committed chord note the lead corrects to, incl. octave steering. → Deciding
Double off / 2 / 4 ADT doubler voice count. → The crowd
Ensemble 0–1 Scales the fixed per-voice difference tables: formant offsets, pitch scatter, entry lags, doubler detune. No randomness: same settings, same crowd. (Appears as "Detune" in host automation lists in the current alpha.) → The crowd
Transpose ±12 st Global shift, ratio 2^(x/12), smoothed per chunk.
Robot momentary Lead target becomes the key's tonic. → Deciding
Hold momentary Freezes the current target while held. → Deciding
Tune 415–466 Hz Reference pitch; rescales the whole scale grid, identical behaviour at any reference. → Deciding
Track Wide / Follow Detector corridor behaviour when locked. → Deciding
Range Full / Low / Mid / High The shifter's pitch floor (65 / 80 / 110 / 160 Hz); the floor sets the latency. → Time
Mode Studio / Live Grain geometry and latency model. → Time
Bypass on / off Delay-matched dry path: timing never shifts, transitions never click. → Time

Presets are portable across VST3 and AU, and the state format is append-only-safe: future parameters will not break saves made today.
